                                         Remember, Remember…
We humans have two types of memory. The first type is Short-Term Memory
and only lasts 20 to 30 seconds. It stores information temporarily. We use it

when we save a number or a person’s name in our phone. The second type is
called Long-Term Memory. It can remember things for a long time. We use it

when we remember words in English, or talk to our friends about last weekend,
or we recall a poem. While we sleep, our brains process and store Long-Term

Memories. What about animals? Have they got memories? Some animals, for
example dogs, have Short-Term Memory. Others have Long-Term Memory.

Dolphins and elephants, for example, never forget! Marine mammals can
remember their friends after 20 years apart; an elephant remembers every

member of its herd. INGLESE cl. 5 a Scheda n. 1
